Step-by-Step Guide: Tagging and Filtering Interactions in Supervisor

Interaction Tagging and Notes feature allows you to categorize interactions and document your findings directly within the platform. This reduces the need for external tracking tools and makes it easy to isolate specific trends, issues, or user contexts

Part 1: How to Add Tags and Notes to an Interaction

You can apply custom tags and leave persistent notes on any individual interaction.

Step 1: Navigate to the Tag & Note tab

Open the specific interaction you want to review. On the right-hand side of the Interaction Details screen, click on the Tag & Note tab. If no tags or notes have been created yet, you will see options to add them.

Step 2: Add Custom Tags

Click the + Add tag button. A dropdown menu will appear allowing you to select appropriate labels for the interaction (if previously defined), or simply type a new one.

You can select multiple text labels to allow for granular categorization (e.g., "Customer A", "to review", "Hallucination"). These will appear as removable chips. Once you have selected all relevant tags, click Save.

Step 3: Add a Persistent Note

To document specific findings, click the + Add note button. A text box will appear where you can type your observations.

Note: Each interaction includes a single, free-text field. To maintain a concise record, any future updates will modify this existing text block rather than creating a long comment thread.

Step 4: Review your Tags and Notes

Once saved, your tags will be clearly visible at the top of the panel. Your note will be displayed directly below them, complete with a "Last edit" timestamp so you always have version context.

Part 2: How to Filter Interactions by Tags

Once tags have been applied to interactions, you can use them to quickly isolate specific types of interactions in Supervisor

Step 1: Open the Supervisor Table

Navigate to the Supervisor tab from the left-hand menu to view your full list of interactions.

Step 2: Apply the Tag Filter

To narrow down your view, click the Add filter button at the top of the interaction list. Select Tag the relevant tag type from the search dropdown (e.g., checking the box for specific tags like "Hallucination" or "Error type E"). Click Apply to instantly isolate flagged interactions matching your criteria.
